Professional Dog Training
As a Qualified Dog Trainer, I understand the importance of laying strong foundations for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to mature adults.
Let me guide you through this transformative journey.
Training
I believe strong foundations are the key to a strong bond between owner and dog. These strong foundations allow us to work through behavioural problems and problem behaviours. I believe in giving dogs freedom through boundaries, positive reinforcement, and kindness.
I work with you to look at why you have come to me, navigate your shared history with your pet, and find the missing puzzle pieces, or the βaha!β moment. We then work out a plan that fits into the humanβs everyday hustle and bustle, whilst still being as dog centric as possible.

The changing landscape of animal ownership during COVID, solidified my decision in animal behaviour and training as part of my career path. Those of us in the industry saw the rapid increase of dogs and cats developing severe behavioural problems due to the circumstances COVID brought.
Within the animal industry, I have led a team of over 40 trainers, managed teams in SA and interstate, created and led national projects, taught workshops all over Australia, and worked with more dogs and their families than I can count.
There is so much more to my career than just the above, but I feel these are some of my life experiences that have shaped me and led me to create Strong Foundations Dog Training. I am excited to have a space where I can use my experience, knowledge, ethics, and values, to help some of the most vulnerable beings in our community put their best paw forward.
Career
I have been in the animal industry in many forms since I was 16. From customer facing in a pet shop, to services such as training, grooming, business, sales, and management. It is from my experiences that I have become so deeply passionate about being able to provide dog training where my ethics, and values are forefront of it all.
I have been an owner operator of my own animal rescue, as well as a volunteer for not-for-profits in Adelaide and interstate. I have experienced fostering (as well as foster-failing), coordinating, and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and orphaned animals.
A core passion and interest of mine is teaching and education, as I am also a qualified and serving school teacher. I found through dog training, I am able to incorporate my love of education into every training session.
Outside of being a dog trainerβ¦
When I am not obsessing over other peopleβs dogs, creating portraits of them, researching about dog related topics, or sharing animal Tiktokβs with my friends, you can find me being quite an extroverted introvert. Recharging my battery with a weekend market, getting a really good coffee, or admiring the gorgeous sunsets Adelaide has to offer.
I also have another small business called Designed by Blossie. This is where I put my artistic skills to use, designing jewellery and other fun little pieces.
At home I have my soul dog Banksy, who is 13 this year. He has a bit of doggy dementia but we are working through it best we can. Banksy is the main model for the website photos!
